WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO STAY AT HOUSTON HAVEN?
Patients, adults and children, who are undergoing active treatment at the Texas Medical Center must live over 60 miles from Houston, Texas.
WHAT ARE THE STAY REQUIREMENTS?
There is a two week minimum and three months maximum stay requirement. A caregiver over 21 year of age is required. Those going through radiation treatment may stay without a caregiver on a case by case bases.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
You may fill out at application HERE. After you fill out at application your name will be added to our waiting list, and we will contact you if there is anything available for the requested dates. If you need to make any changes to your application, you may email us at info@houstonhaven.com.

A phone interview and background check are required prior to check-in.
DO YOU ALLOW MINORS, FAMILIES, OR PETS?
We do allow families, including children/siblings to stay at our properties. We have several homes geared towards families (whether the parent or child is going through treatment) so that everyone can stay together, even grandparents or other caregivers.

We do NOT allow pets at any of our homes.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COST?
All of our homes include a washer/dryer, wifi and cable, and a full kitchen with oven, stove, microwave, and coffee makers. Utilities, lawn care, maintenance, and pest control are also taken care of.
DO YOU PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION?
No. Guests are responsible for their own transportation (ride share and public transportation is acceptable). Our condos in the medical center are .8 miles away from a TMC Shuttle Stop. Our houses in Bellaire are ten minutes from the closest bus stop. The Med Center is about 20 minutes away and accessible without getting onto any major freeways.
WHAT ARE THE PROPERTIES YOU HAVE AND THE COST?
There is a one time, refundable security deposit of $200-$500 (depending on property) and a cleaning fee of $120. Rent varies on the size of the house.
The property we will offer is based off our availability and number of people staying, we cannot guarantee a specific house.
Patty's Townhouse: A two-story townhouse located less than five miles from the Texas Medical Center in Bellaire. This two bedroom home has both bedrooms upstairs which will require patient and caregiver to be physically able to climb one flight of stairs. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. There are two and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, separate dining room, living room and patio.
Cost is $30 a day.

Marilyn's House: A one-story home located less than five miles from the Texas Medical Center in the Willowbend neighborhood and is ideal for families. This three bedroom house has a large master bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with two twin beds and a third bedroom with a desk and convertible sofa bed. There is a large living and dining room, separate kitchen, two car garage and large backyard.
Cost is $35 a day.

Rachel's Condo: This one bedroom condo is one mile from the Texas Medical Center with a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the living room. This is a second story condo so patient and caregiver must be physically able to climb one flight of stairs.
Cost is $20 a day

Kate's Condo: This one bedroom condo is one mile from the Texas Medical Center with a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the living room.
Cost is $25 a day

Karen's Condo: This one bedroom condo is one mile from the Texas Medical Center with a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the living room.

Corinne's House: A one-story home located less than five miles from the Texas Medical Center in Bellaire is ideal for families. This four bedroom home has two master bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with a twin pull out bed, and one bedroom that can accommodate a blow up mattress. There is a large backyard and garage.
Cost is $35 a day.

Houston Haven House F: A one-story, two bedroom house located less than five miles from the Texas Medical Center in Bellaire. One bedroom has a king bed with ensuite bathroom and the other bedroom with a desk and a twin trundle bed. There is a second bathroom, kitchen, separate dining and living spaces.
Cost is $30 a day

Houston Haven House L: A one-story home located less than five miles from the Texas Medical Center in Bellaire neighborhood and is ideal for families. This three bedroom house has a primary bedroom with a queen bed, a second bedroom with a full bed and a third bedroom with twin trundle bed. There is a a full bathroom with a walk in shower, and a half bathroom, kitchen, living and dining room.
Cost is $35 a day.

Jason St House: A one-story home located five miles from the Texas Medical Center in a Bellaire neighborhood that is ideal for families. One bedroom has a queen bed and ensuite bathroom, one bedroom has a full bed, and the third bedroom has a twin pull out bed. There is a second bathroom, kitchen, separate living room and dining room, and a playroom.
Cost is $35 a day

Efficiency Apartment: We have an efficiency apartment dedicated to short term stays or families that have stayed with us previously. There is a full size kitchen, queen bed and two person dining table and chairs.
